Really good seafood restaurant. Was a long time since I been there and didn’t disappoint. Just try it. Won’t regret. Just make sure you reserve as it packs out very quick even on a weekday. Must be the best “formal” restaurant in Ipoh.
If you are from Ipoh , its likely you have attended a wedding dinner here at least once in your life. Old skool brand ! I love their signature ginger chicken here. Very strong and tasty ginger flavour. Tofu was smooth and quite general with minced meat for this dish. Prawns tasted fresh with a good amount of eggs inside. HK kailan with yam was simple but well prepared. Just nice texture for a very thick cut of the stem. Fish maw was very flavourful and packed with ingredients. Service : good Seating : indoor air conditioned. Reservations : recommended to book early. Parking : ample street parking
A very famous restaurant serving some very famous and typical celebratory dishes. Our family celebrated grandmother’s birthday here and had a really good time. It is a loud place but the food is fantastic. After so many decades the quality of the food remain at top notch! remember to book early to enjoy the delicious dishes. remember! remember! to order some dishes like the prawn scrambled egg in crab meat and the suckling pig
One of the oldest Chinese restaurant in Ipoh! Great dishes with very good service! Dishes I enjoyed were suckling pig, sweet and sour pork and their fried rice is done perfectly by my expectations. Reservation is a must as it is a very popular local gathering place
The steamed fish was fresh but the sauce is bit salty for us. The salted crab came in a pair. Crab meat was fresh but was a bit salty for me. I love the freshness of the steamed prawns and it is a must try (min is 300g). The french beans with mei cai was a pleasant suprise and I would recommend it. Parking was easy.
Every dish here is truly above standard. The Dry-fried Prawns (干煎虾) were absolutely delicious, perfectly charred and flavorful, probably the best I’ve ever had. The Pork Belly with Char Siu Sauce (叉烧汁炒花腩) was tender and paired beautifully with the sauce. The Stuffed Tofu (酿豆腐) was soft and delicate, though I’m personally not so used to the fish paste filling.
Great food, service, etc, but very crowded. Also not cheap. 5pax for 914 myr, suckling pig, bamboo fish, prawn, a vege. Kena wait for a table Overall happy with the food
Very traditional authentic Chinese cuisine. The cod fish is super yummy. Lotus root stir fry is a must order. Best to reserve a spot as they are always full-house.
